Hawaiian rolls are stuffed with gooey mozzarella, savory pizza sauce, and flavorful pepperoni slices, then brushed with a buttery Parmesan and Italian herb glaze. Ingredients:
- 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian rolls
- 2½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided (1 cup + 1½ cups)
- ¾ cup pizza sauce
- 20 slices deli-style pepperoni
- ⅓ cup salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prep
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray. - Prepare the Rolls
Keeping the rolls connected, carefully slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. - Add the Fillings
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella over the bottom rolls.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the cheese.
- Layer the pepperoni slices in 5 rows of 4, covering the sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1½ cups of mozzarella over the pepperoni.
- Top with the Rolls and Glaze
Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer. Using a pastry brush, coat the tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning. - Bake
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven, slice the rows to separate the sliders, and serve warm.
