Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steaks
Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Cook the Steaks
Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook to your desired doneness (approximately 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare). Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. Make the Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Deglaze the Pan
Pour in the beef broth, stirring to loosen any browned bits from the skillet.
  5. Create the Cream Sauce
Add heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and let the sauce simmer until it thickens (about 3–5 minutes).
  6. Serve
Plate the steaks and generously spoon the garlic cream sauce over them. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, substitute beef broth with vegetable broth.
  • Pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
